Business is EVERYTHING, with a business degree, you learn psychology, you learn math, you learn about society, and you learn how to communicate and make stuff happen.

Networking is what the business world is about. Yes you go to university to learn, and to discover. Though as a business major, you are there to also meet people who have aspirations like you. To network and meet potential business men and women from around the world. You must work with these people, learn from them, or even teach them. That is what will make you a better bsuienssman.
What is a Business Degree
Business is so Broad, there are various degrees you can get. From Management to Accounting. Very different career paths that both stem from business. At the end of the day, most schools admit you to a general first year, then allow you to select a more specific business degree in second year.

Business is the degree with the most applicants each year, which makes sense as it is also the most broad subject.
According to OUAC statistics, there were 143,103 applications made to business programs in 2025!
The next most was Science with 122,000. Which is a jump of 21,000 applications!
TRY AND FAIL...
As a potential business major, you must be ready to try and fail multiple times. Many busienss students try startups or side hustels in Highschool. Wether they succeed or fail, it is a huge learning experience. It is recommended to try to do projects in your 11th and 12th year, and test your business skills.
How to Get into Business Programs
BE YOU!
The most important things is to not lose yourself. Focus on you desires and who you are. They are looking for personality.
BE CONFIDENT!
Don't stutter, don't fiddle, just talk with meaning. Try being an extrovert! pushing yourself out of your bubble to build that confidence.
BE INSPIRED!
They are looking for bright and inspired students. Teens who have a drive to do better or create something.
BE CURIOUS!
Lastly, just try new things, and ask questions. Like they say, dont be the loudest in the room, and try to learn one new thing from every room you enter, itll help, trust.
