What and Where is U of T Scarborough (UTSC)
The University of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC) is one of the three campuses of the University of Toronto, located in the Scarborough district of Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Established in 1964 as Scarborough College, it sits on 300 acres of suburban parkland near Highland Creek, offering a peaceful and green learning environment. UTSC is known for its strong emphasis on co-operative education, business, biological sciences, and environmental studies, and it offers over 250 program options and 1,300 courses annually.
Though it is the smallest U of T campus by enrollment, UTSC plays a vital role in the university’s tri-campus system. It offers unique programs like double degrees in Management and Science, and has partnerships with Centennial College for joint programs. The campus is also home to Canada’s first undergraduate Mental Health Studies program, and continues to expand its research and innovation footprint. Students at UTSC earn degrees from the University of Toronto, and credits are fully transferable across all three campuses
